Strengthening Structures with Bookboard

There are several instances where rebinding a paperback into hardcovers is advantageous. Before you go about fixing something of value, join us for a workshop to learn the process before tackling your own!
In this workshop, we’ll go over the process of re-casing paperback texts with options for utilizing the original cover. This will add many years of life onto the works you wish to preserve.
Bookbinding is great, but it’s even better with a friend—sign up together and you each save $25!
Materials:
Book cloth, paper, book board, and glue will be provided
Please bring the following materials, if possible. The studio has limited quantities of these items.
Pencil
Scissors
Bonefolder
Bookbinding Awl
Bookbinding or Embroidery Needles
Xacto Type Craft Knife
Cutting Mat
Metal Edged Ruler
Glue Brush (we recommend a 1" flat brush)
All Classes are held at Editions, located at 6520 5th Ave S #104 Seattle, WA 98108. Go through the red door (or big white door if it’s open) and turn left under the stairs.

Cancellation Policy
Withdrawals 15 or more days before the beginning of a workshop will receive a full refund of tuition and supply fee, minus a $25 processing charge.
Withdrawals 4-14 days prior to the workshop will receive a 50% refund of tuition and supply fee, minus a $25 processing charge.
No refunds are possible for withdrawals 3 or fewer days in advance of the first day of class, or for no-shows.
Exceptions to this policy are only made for documented medical emergencies.
